    Day 9

Wasaga Beach is your destination this morning.  The Nancy Island Historic Site houses a replica lighthouse and the original hull of the HMS Nancy schooner, which was sunk in the Nottawasaga River to protect the community in 1814.  While you’re here, enjoy a stroll along the world’s longest freshwater beach before making your way east.  Before you arrive in Midland or Penetanguishene, head to Cedar Point.  Take the ferry to Christian Island, where you’ll find the Christian Island Lighthouse. In town, pay a visit to the Lighthouse Store where you’ll find lighthouse and nautical gifts and treasures.
