Day 1

Make your way to Collingwood and The Blue Mountains today. Once you arrive, take Scenic Caves Road to the Blue Mountain Scenic Lookout.    Follow the road to Scenic Caves Nature Adventures to explore the labyrinth of caves.  Spend some time suspended above the world, as you cross Ontario’s longest suspension footbridge suspended 25 metres above the treetops!  Be sure to stop and savor the view of Georgian Bay more than 300 metres in elevation below!  When you’re finished, take a short cruise through the Beaver Valley, along the windy path through the villages of Clarksburg and Heathcote.  In Eugenia, park your bike and follow the short path to Eugenia Falls.   On your return, through Kimberley, take Grey County Road 7 to the left.  Upon ascending out of the valley, stop on the right at the Epping Lookout for a view of the valley below.  Next, turn left (west) on Grey County Road 40, taking the next right (north) onto Grey County Road 12.  Keep going straight on 12, which will turn into 112.  At the end you’ll find the Irish Mountain Lookout – another great view over the valley to the Bay below.  If your stomach is starting to grumble, consider a stop at Ted’s Range Road Diner on your way back down the hill.  Ted’s serves up lots of local and interesting cuisine, and offers a dining experience like no other.  Return to The Blue Mountains/Collingwood and check in at your accommodation for the night.

Day 2

Today you travel to Penetanguishene and Midland via Wasaga Beach.  While in Wasaga Beach, be sure to cruise the strip at Beach Area 1, and stop to enjoy the World’s Longest Freshwater Beach.  Next, following the driving directions, make your way around north and around and into Penetanguishene.  First, take a tour into Awenda Provincial Park.  This beautiful park of the shores of Georgian Bay offers visitors a chance to visit the beach (during the summer) and spectacular fall colour during the fall. Follow the scenic route into Penetanguishene, and then further on to Midland, stopping to enjoy a scenic 30,000 Islands Cruise aboard the Georgian Queen (in Penetanguishene) or the Miss Midland.  When in Midland, visit the town dock to view the 25 foot statue of a Trumpeter Swan. If you have one more day to spend, check in at your accommodation.  If you’re due home today, continue east of Midland, following Hwy 12, along the shores of the Bay to Waubaushene where your Southern Georgian Bay motorcycle tour ends.
